My site has been down for a long time. I know this. Let me explain. It all started way back when I first converted to running Linux as my main desktop OS. I did this because I was hit by a nasty variant of the Gumblar virus. Well, about 6 weeks ago I got hit again, which required me to shutter my site and change a bunch of user credentials, and, well, then I just never got around to getting my site up. And then I did. And then there was a drupal update. So I brought my site down again. And then I finally got around to updating it last night.
Anyway, that's the remarkably boring story.
Thanksgiving was good. I went to Vegas and visited Dad for a few days. We did some hiking the desert. We ate some turkey. It was good.
Today I went Christmas tree shopping and got another monster of a tree for my annual Christmas Tree Trimming Party of Fun. Or whatever I'm calling it this year. I'd say it's about 11 feet tall. I have a great big giant piece of nature in my house. It's awesome. The only thing about throwing a great big party, however, is that i feel the need to tidy up before people come over. So I've been doing a lot of cleaning lately.
Also, my landlords are having my apartment building painted, so there is a bunch of scaffolding erected around the entire building. It's not so bad, really, but every morning at 8 AM I get workmen looking through my windows.
And that pretty much summarizes all the important bits that have been going on. Now that my site is back online and functional I am going to try to resume my usual 3 days a week posting schedule. Wish me luck.
